Blogging from Penn station waiting for the train to washington dc where I'm having thanksgiving with friends. A co-worker told me to get here at least two hours early because of the crowds. Bad advice!
So I got here, got my tickets in about 5 minutes now I'm waiting waiting waiting for my train to get here. Its packed but two things are unbarable: it may be 45 degrees outside but its 90 in here, I'm sweating like crazy hauling my bags. To make things worse I'm standing next to two really shallow girls clearly mid town trust fund girls who make the valley girls of cali look like Rhodes scholars, but it gets better than that they are clearly broadway bound just as soon as someone wakes up and realizes their "talent"... People... Penn station during the busiest travel day of the year is no where to try to practice your singing voice as loud as you can, oblivious of anyone else. Yikes! Moving to other side of terminal now.
I'm really excited to take the train, its my first passenger train ride. Looking forward to the time to read a bit and catch up on work. Best part is to not arrived stressed.
Really looking forward to seeing my friends.
